8/30 Fluke with Anchor Joe
Tuesday, 07 September 2010
Had Anchor Joe and Friends aboard for another day on the fluke grounds... Doc, George, Eric In Pursuit, Darren and Bruce rounded out todays crew.

Started out local for a couple shorts and a keeper... did a couple more drifts but no more keepers.

Moved up north a bit... Not good... But we managed to pick a couple more Keepers and some shorts

Headed even further offshore and the bite was about the same... pretty slow... bounced around and picked a few more keepers including a couple of nice 4- 6 lbers and some shorts.

Lost our drift... moved to a little pile and we started to get some bites and their was some life their but just not enough movement... had a drift with 3 keepers another with 2 But then it dried up.

Moved inshore a bit to finish out the day and we slow picked a keeper here in there and some shorts.

Doc was def the puller today he was always reelin something in... but Joe was a closer by spearing a couple of nice ones later in the day. George was steady... darren had 5 Nice ones and eric was fooled a couple times

Tough Bite but The guys fished hard and by days end wound up with 19 Keeper Fluke to 6 1/2 Lbs and a couple seabass.

Great crew as always a blast to have aboard... Lots of fun n Thanks for the Violater

Thanks again Guys!!!

8/27 Fluke to 7 lbs
Saturday, 28 August 2010
Had Mick Pirolli and Friends aboard today for a Fluke trip...Matt, Gary, Mack Dom, and Ron rounded out todays Crew.

After dismal Fluke bite yesterday we were hoping they would chew better today.

Got up to the grounds and seen the same dirty water... made 2 Drifts and had very little life.

Wasnt gonna wait around to see if they were gonna bite... took a steam even further offshore in some cleaner water and decided that where we would concentrate for the day unless a better bite develops inshore.

Drift was pretty quick but we had some shorts and a keeper in the box pretty quick. Never could get a good bite going... but we were able to bounce around getting a keeper or two here and there... some drifts were dead and then we would get a little shot at a couple fish.

Heard from others that the bite was slow inshore... so stayed with the life we had and grinded it out.

Current and drift were pretty strong most of the day... but it was manageable

Few nice keepers in the 4 up to 7lb range, rest were 18 -20 inchers.

Put in a long day and the guys fished hard today despite a tough bite and were rewarded with a nice cooler of fluke esp with the conditions of late.

By days end we wound up with 23 Keeper fluke up to 7lbs and 1 Seabass.

As always Mick and Crew were a blast to have aboard. We are looking forward to having them back out next week for another fluke trip before it closes.

Thanks again guys!!!

8/26 Slow Fluke / Seabass Bailout
Friday, 27 August 2010
Finally headed back out for another day on the fluke grounds after a break due to weather with Brian, David and friends.

Headed to the sticky stuff in the deeper water... ocean was nice but still some swell and the water was very dirty... Despite a perfect drift to start not to much life besides some shorts.

Bounced around alot of spots with only a few bites... picked a couple keepers but they werent there when ya went back...

North Current kicked in and along with the wind it made the drift very quick... covered alot of ground and get even less bites...

Finally at 12:45 with only 3 keepers in the box we decided to switch gears and try for some seabass to save the day.

Headed offshore... lost the current and the water was super clear.

Seabass were hungry and bit well... drifted around on a bunch of piles and wrecks with good life on almost everything... Fair amount of shorts with some nice size keepers... one spot produced a nice shot of mostly keepers and a bunch of double bangers.

Was able to put together a nice cooler of seabass in the time we had to somewhat salvage the day... Not fluke but some days ya gotta take what the ocean gives ya.

By days end the guys wound up around 70 Seabass to 2lbs to go along with 3 Keeper fluke and a Big Blue.

Nice day on the water!!!

Thanks again guys!!!

8/21 Fluke Fishing Red Hot!!! Limits Cont!!!
Tuesday, 24 August 2010
Headed out for another day on the fluke grounds... Bill was on our open boat trips yesterday and had today booked for his charter with family and Friends. His Father Bill Sr, Brian Dave and Kevin rounded out todays 5 man crew!

Got set up... drift was a little quick to start with the breeze... managed to pick a Keeper or two along with a few shorts our first few drifts before that dried up and became congested.

Went looking seemed everywhere we went we would pick a few fish but when ya went back to repeat it wasnt there again.

Got a Call from our Great Customers and friends on the Capt. Bob Bates Express that they were picking some fish and were away from the fleet. Got a real good crack at them on our First drift... 6 more nice ones for the box... next few drifts we got a couple of keepers each pass along with shorts. Thanks Guys!!!

Bite seemed to shut off... had 20 keepers in the box... bounced around for a keeper here along with a couple of flurries to to top off their Limit.

Bill Picked the right two days in to go fluking with a Limit plus on both days!!! Brian had his station on and was high hook with 10 Keepers ( Only taking a Limit).

Bite was very tough at times but the Guys fished hard today and made the most of the bites when the fish were biting.

By day end we had a 5 man limit of 30 Nice keepers and a couple Seabass!!!

Was a pleasure having ya guys!!! Thanks Again Fellas!!!

Action has been hot!!!3rd trip in a row with a Limit of Fluke, 4th of the week!!! Hope it holds up!!!
